What sensor scripts are enabled by default?
New X2 data loggers come pre-loaded with scripts for a host of environmental sensors that communicate over standard protocols such as SDI-12, NMEA0183, RS-232, and RS-485 Modbus. The entire script list is visible within the CONNECT software; however, only a few are enabled by default. Before running a sensor detection, it is imperative to review this default list to see if the script for the desired sensor is available and enabled.
Script Levels
Script Level | Description |
0001 | Script 0001 controls the internal diagnostics for the X2 data logger. These diagnostics are critical for troubleshooting and must be kept enabled. |
1000 | 1000-level scripts are for sensors utilizing RS-485 Modbus RTU communication. |
2000 | 2000-level scripts are for sensors utilizing SDI-12 communication. |
3000 | 3000-level scripts are for sensors utilizing RS-232 communication. |
4000 | 4000-level scripts are user-generated generic scripts. |
5000 | 5000-level scripts are generated by NexSens engineers and will contain a hard-coded detection for a specific sensor. |
9000 | 9000-level scripts are highly customized scripts created by NexSens engineers. These scripts are created for entire systems with specific circumstances.* |
*Since 9000-level scripts are for an entire system, only one 9000 level script can be enabled at a time. The X2 will only recognize the lowest numerical 9000-level script.
