The transfer rate is the speed at which data is transferred from a cellular device to another device such as a PC connected to the internet.

The highest transfer rate available for a NexSens cellular data logger is 9600 bits/s. This can be achieved if:

  • The user has a good cellular data plan
  • The system is receiving strong cellular signal
  • The internet connection being used is reliable and quick
  • There are minimal routing issues occurring through the cellular and internet networks

Most likely, the transfer rate will be lower and unknown since the factors above can change unexpectedly or can be outdated. Examples include unknown signal routings, bad cellular signal, and older style internet connections such as dial-up.
