CB-Series Buoy Battery Capacities

NexSens CB-Series data buoys will have differing battery capacities depending on the buoy size and integrated battery harness. One or multiple batteries (connected in parallel) can be installed. Multiple batteries wired in parallel provide the same 12.0-14.9V required to power NexSens data loggers and external sensors. However, the Amp hour capacity increases by 28A-hr with each added battery. NexSens offers two standard types of battery harnesses that include: sealed lead acid batteries, a solar regulator, mounting bracket posts, and a data logger connection cable pigtail (UW-6 connector).

NexSens Battery Harness Specifications

1. CB-A01-2 – contains two 8.5 A-hr batteries (CB-150 only)
2. CB-A05-x – contains one to four 28 A-Hr batteries (depending on buoy battery capacities – see table below)
