A graphic (or tabular) data record of each enabled parameter is displayed on the Dashboard of the project beneath the site map. Through the Dashboard Settings menu, the display unit and precision of each parameter can be set as desired. Additionally, parameters that are useful to transmit, but not important to view regularly can be hidden from sight.

Step 10- Set Display Units, Precision, and Y-Axis Parameter Scaling

Step 11- Manage Quick Alert Notifications and Project Notes

From the Dashboard graph displays it is possible to set up Quick Alerts and save project notes for individual parameters.

Quick alerts offer a quick and basic method of sending email/SMS notifications for individual parameter exceedances when using the more advanced Alarm Interface is not desired, such as when system battery voltage falls below a certain threshold (note diagnostic alerts are only displayed in tables and can be configured in the lower right hand corner of the project).

Note that SMS alerts require the user to enter the phone number followed by the proper extension based on the service provider. Common providers are listed below:

  • AT&T – cellnumber@txt.att.net
  • Verizon – cellnumber@vtext.com
  • T-Mobile – cellnumber@tmomail.net
  • Sprint PCS – cellnumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
  • Virgin Mobile – cellnumber@vmobl.com
  • US Cellular – cellnumber@email.uscc.net
  • Nextel – cellnumber@messaging.nextel.com
  • Boost – cellnumber@myboostmobile.com
  • Alltel – cellnumber@message.alltel.com

Quick notes allow a user to enter in important field notes such as when sensors were cleaned or calibrated for reference at a later date. When panning across the graph of an associated parameter, these notes will be displayed for the corresponding time period.
