Sometimes it is desirable to connect a CB-iSIC directly to the PC for configuration, setup, testing, and troubleshooting. This can be accomplished with the included UW-USB-232P-NP cable.

  1. Connect the CB-iSIC to the PC by plugging the USB cable into the CB-iSIC’s COM port. The RTU module will need to be disconnected.
  2. Power the iSIC-CB by connecting the solar panel or a UW-JUMPER to the SOLAR port.
  3. In the iChart Navigation Panel, right-click the data logger (name may vary depending on the communication type) and select Property.

Once this is confirmed, the device can be used as a direct connect data logger.

Once all direct setup and testing is done, the iChart file needs to be set back to using telemetry communication.

  8. In the iChart Navigation Panel, right-click the data logger (name may vary depending on the communication type) and select Property.
