How do I change site and data logger names in iChart Software?

This technical note will guide you through changing a site and data logger name. This procedure is required in order to carry the site name to reports.

1.      Open the project file.

2.      Right mouse click on the site in the Navigation Panel. Choose the property selection from the drop down list that appears. A dialog will be displayed providing an option to type a site name and a site description. Only the site name is required.

3.      Click the data logger (i.e. SDL500C data logger) in the Navigation Panel once, and again a few seconds later. The name should appear as text that may be edited. Type the desired name (typically this is the same as the site) and hit enter.

Now, generate a report. The new names will be displayed in the column header.
