The CB-iSIC is outfitted with various ports with different functionality.

UW 8 Pin Numbering

The ports on the iSIC-CB bulkheads are Underwater Receptacles (UW-R) that accommodate Underwater Plug (UW-P) connections from various sensors and communication devices. The mating plug’s signals are mirrored to those of the receptacle. For example, pin 1 on the receptacle mates with pin 8 on the plug.

Regardless of whether the UW connector is a plug or receptacle the pins are numbered in the same manner. With the pins on the right and the sockets on the left numbering is done clockwise starting with pin 1 at the 1 o’clock position and ending with pin 8 at the 11 o’clock position.

UW 6 Pin Numbering

The UW 6 port is used for solar power input and also acts as a power switch to disconnect the internal battery. Numbering is done in the same manner as with the UW 8 connector.
