Building a Direct Connect System

At the heart of every NexSens data logging system is the iSIC Data Logger and iChart software. The iSIc data logger features a variety of digital and analog inputs, providing flexibility and allowing for additional sensors to be added in the future. The internal 8.5 A-Hr battery can be charged from solar or AC sources. iChart software simplifies and automates many of the tasks associated with acquiring, processing, analyzing and publishing environmental data.

Environmental monitoring systems are often used in real-time data acquisition applications. Data from sensors connected to the iSIC Data Logger can be accessed from a PC running iChart software via an RS-232 serial link between the data logger and PC. This setup provides a cost-effective real-time solution for local or nearby montoring systems up to 250' from the PC.
